Registering

To access the full features of the BrillBaby + BrillKids forums, you should sign up for an account. This will enable you to maintain a consistent identity while posting and keep track of what you've read, no matter where you're working from or what computer you're using. You'll be able to fill out a personal profile and use the built-in personal message system. You'll be able to subscribe to email notifications, monitor your forum activity and more.

How to Register Assuming you've arrived at the forum as a guest and wish to register, you should be looking at any page of the forum, in which you case you should select Sign in or Register from the top right hand corner of the screen. The Sign In and Registration Screen A login and registration screen will pop up, which will guide you through the registration process. To sign up for a free account, the first thing you need to do is to fill in the second half of the pop up, typing in your email twice, to ensure that you have keyed it in correctly. Click continue to go through the rest of the registration process.

The next page will enable you to create a profile for your account. Choose a screen name that you would like to use in the forums - this name will appear next to every post you make, so make sure to choose a name that you love! You can check if the name you chose is still available for use by clicking on the 'Check Availability' Button. 

When you find that the name is available, you're ready to go to the next step which is to fill in your password, first name, and last name. Specify your gender and choose an avatar that you like.

Subscription Management

The subscription management is where you can choose what kind of emails you would like to subscribe to. Tick on all the newsletters that you would like to receive, and lastly, choose what format you want to receive them in. When you're done, click 'SUBMIT'.

The registration has been configured to require email activation, and you should receive an immediate email with instructions about how to proceed. But there's also a useful link ('Did you miss your activation email?') in the User Info box in case you miss this email or mistype your email address.
